Chennai, Tamil Nadu A mega Plantation Drive was Conducted by Mastermind Foundation To commemorate the 2023 World Environment Day at OD Avadi, Chennai. Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu Thiru R.N Ravi Avargal along with The Lady Governor, Mrs. Lakshmi Ravi attended the event.

Mastermind Foundation has planted 1000 trees at Ordinance Depot Avadi, Chennai, to commemorate World Environment Day 2023 under the CSR activities of  Husky Technologies. In support of the World Environment Day theme; #BeatPlasticPollution, Mr. Ramachandran, MD of SB Group of companies has sponsored 4 industrial grade tailor machines for the production of jute bags to army wives welfare association of OD Avadi presented by The Lady Governor, Mrs. Lakshmi Ravi.

Husky Technologies for Sponsoring the plantation of 1000 trees on World Environment Day 2023. This project can offset up to 22 tonnes of Carbon per year.

Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu Thiru R.N Ravi Avargal planted Bael tree and a Peepal tree while talking about the importance of each tree in our culture. Hon’ble Governor in his address said, that, “When we promote tree plantations, we are promoting consciousness about environmental protection and preservation”, He spoke about the carbon trading between developed and developing countries and the arising inequity due to the same. He Appreciated MMF for their proactive participation in helping Defence personnel with stress and post-trauma management, he also recognized their significant contribution to rescue, relief and rehabilitation during natural disasters.

He emphasized the importance of viewing elements of the environment as one, he spoke about the oneness of creation; “This is our ancient Sanatan civilization, which believes in the unity of creation; Oneness of Creation, which believes that whether they are plants or animals, we are all the children of the mother earth. With this understanding comes belief, which we call in the ancient Tamil text ‘Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir’, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the world as a family”. He emphasized the importance of educating the younger generation about our ancient values of nature; “Our values are not built over decades; they have been built over centuries”.

He reiterated the importance of collective responsibility for saving the environment from depleting further; ““One Family, One Future”, is very appropriate. We don’t call it a shared future; we call it one future because we prosper together and if we don’t; we perish together.” He praised the organizers- Mastermind Foundation for their exemplary social services and encouraged to continue.
